Your Home Care Package funds may be spent on items relating to your care and well being. Home Care Pack funds are Consumer Directed which means you have choice, flexibility and control over how you manage your funds. This means you can choose the types of services you receive, how you receive them, who provides them to you and when you receive the services. However the services and products you use your funds for must be directly related to your care requirements and for staying independent in your home.
Some of the most common items include:

Personal care - assistance with showering, dressing and continence management

Help around the house - cleaning of essential areas in the home, assistance with laundry and making beds

Assistance with shopping and running errands

Transport to medical appointments, hairdresser appointments

Help in the kitchen with cooking and meal preparation

Assistance with light garden and lawn maintenance

Prompts for medication and personal alarm monitoring

Social support and access to activity programs
