It's Time to Get Connected ACT!

It’s exciting times online for people with disabilities and their families or carers.

With the roll out of the NDIS, innovative online platforms and sites are being created to assist people with disabilities gain choice and control over all aspects of their lives.

On 22 May in Canberra Careseekers will join the creators of MyCare Space and Enabled Employment to present at the ‘Get Connected’ information session.

People with disabilities, their families and carers can attend this free event to hear about what’s happening online to enable people with disabilities to have choice and control over their care and support, social lives and gain meaningful employment.

It is an opportunity for attendees to learn how to use the websites and direct questions to the founders/CEO’s of CareSeekers, MyCareSpace and Enabled Employment.

The platforms that will be presenting at the session are game changers. Rather than just providing information, they use technology to assist people to access care, support, meaningful employment and recreational activities in the click of a button.

Here at Careseekers we directly connect individuals and families to care and support workers.

MyCareSpace is a national directory of over 5,000 local services, providers and activities plus a resource library and shared personal stories.

Enabled Employment is an award winning online national employment service for people with a disability and their carers which offers job opportunities with inclusive employers without government funding or charity donations.

We are so excited for this ACT event and hope to see you there. If you aren’t in the ACT don’t worry, we’ll be holding similar events in the Blue Mountains, Sydney and the Hunter region over the next few months.

The ACT event will take place on 22 May from 2-3.30pm at the Canberra Innovation Forum, level 5, 1 Moore Street Canberra. The venue is accessible. For more information or to RSVP contact Marissa at marissa@careseekers.com.au or call 1300 765 465.
