Careseekers Helps the Community Stay Active and Mobile!

Careseekers is pleased to announce its support of the Active Adults and Bay Connections bus trips in conjunction with the Canada Bay Council.

Careseekers is motivated to:

  • Help those who live at home get out of the house and encourage community participation
  • Bring people together to provide companionship and friendship
  • Provide people with limited mobility the chance to attend social events
  • Add adventure and enjoyment to people’s lives at all ages

Careseekers believes that providing opportunities for individuals, either those with a disability or in their older years, to participate in their community can lead to greatly improved well being and overall health outcomes. Not only this, but the ‘social capital’ of our communities are enhanced through improved social connections with like-minded peers, and the friendships that result.

If you are young at heart, active, mobile, over 55 years of age and live in the City of Canada Bay come and join the Active Adults group!

Council and Careseekers provide full day bus outings to exciting locations around the Sydney metropolitan area and beyond. Trips previously provided include Berry, Wollongong and the Central Coast. Adventure is the goal!

Alternatively, simply explore your local community while meeting new people. The City of Canada Bay and Careseekers offer a program of local bus trips for people over 55 years of age who live in the local government area.

We see our sponsorship of this invaluable service as a way of giving back to the community. Look out for the next mobile adventure near you! For more information, visit www.canadabay.nsw.gov.au or email council@canadabay.nsw.gov.au or info@careseekers.com.au.
